Statement of Faith
The Exclusivity of Jesus Christ
Jesus HUGS Ministries believe that salvation from sin and hell is found only in Jesus Christ. His sacrifice and death at the cross was the payment for the sins of mankind. He is the only way to God. The truth and eternal life in Heaven. (John 14:6)
We believe in personal salvation and forgiveness of sins through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, acknowledging every person’s need for the grace and mercy of God. (Romans 3:22-23, I Peter 1:3, I John 1:9)
The Identity of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh. (John 1:1, 14)
The Word of Jesus Christ
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. The entire Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, the revelation of God’s will for man and the divine and final authority for the Christian life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
It is without error in truth and useful for guidance in all areas of life, aspects of ministry, spirituality and understanding God’s ways. (Psalms 18:30)
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ
Jesus resurrected in bodily form, validating His message, identity and power. (John 20:24-29)
The Fullness of Jesus Christ
We believe in the fullness of Jesus Christ and the gifts of His Holy Spirit. He is Savior, Healer, Deliverer and Baptizer. Everything that He did in bodily form, He still performs to this day through His Holy Spirit. (John 14:12, Acts 10:38, Mark 1:8, Hebrews 13:8)
The Everlasting Life with Jesus Christ
We believe in the eventual resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness and everlasting life of the saved with Jesus Christ. (John 14:1-3, Revelation 20:15)
The Water Baptism
We baptize in water all those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ and who desire to publicly identify with Christ in accordance to the Bible’s command. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:36-39, Romans 6:4)
The Holy Spirit Ministry
We believe in the present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose purpose is to glorify Jesus Christ and to instruct and empower every believer for godly living and holy service. (John 16:13-14, I Corinthians 12:1-11)
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe that Jesus baptizes in fire. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a promise from The Father for every believer and is distinct and separate to the experience of the New Birth. Speaking in tongues, as the Holy Spirit gives utterance is a physical manifestation of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:11, Acts 2:4, 38-39; 19:4-6)
